Even though this commercial originally aired for the 2003 Super Bowl between the Oakland Raiders and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the story will still tug at the heartstrings of anyone who calls themselves an American.

The video begins with a group of soldiers who have just stepped off the plane that took them from Afghanistan back to the most amazing place they could ever dream to be: home. Back in 2003, the war on terror was still in its early days, and the official war to free Iraq from the clutches of the tyrant dictator Saddam Hussein was months away from beginning.

That’s why, when Budweiser came out with this incredible “thank you” commercial back in those turbulent times, it struck a chord with so many freedom-loving Americans. While people may have disagreed with the reasonings behind the war itself, one thing is for certain: We all love our troops!

And when you see this heartwarming video, you’ll quickly fill up with pride for the brave men and women who willingly put their lives on the line in order to answer our nation’s call. By the :12 mark of this amazing commercial we were speechless. We just love it when soldiers get to hear the magical words, “welcome home!”

To anyone who has held a soldier dear to them in their lives, this video speaks loudly. Make sure to let us know in the comments below how it made you feel.

And please SHARE this amazing video if you love our soldiers!
