It’s easy to get angry at young people for their ignorance. But the truth is that sometimes, they simply don’t know or see the impact they’re having on the world and in their own lives. As adults and people in authority roles, it’s our place to pass down lessons that will influence the younger generations for the better.

Coach Williams of Virginia Tech has a valuable lesson to teach his student athletes about serving America and respecting veterans. Watch his excellent deliver of it below.

During the National Anthem, Coach Buzz Williams noticed that some of his players weren’t being respectful to the tradition. They were goofing off.

Instead of getting angry and yelling at his players, Coach lines them up and puts them face to face with a group of war veterans.

Then he begins to teach the boys at Virginia Tech what it means to honor and respect people who have served America and fought for freedom.

The moment was filmed and has since impacted an additional 7 million lives as people continue to watch the video.

During Coach Williams’s motivational and inspiring speech, he tells the privileged students who get the opportunity to play basketball that the veterans they see here interrupted their lives to defend our country.

The magic of the coach’s talk doesn’t just apply to the basketball court; it extends to all aspects of life. Respect is a vital piece to getting on in the world. Other people deserve it and so do you.

Please WATCH and SHARE this incredible and inspirational speech with your friends and family today!
