James Corden recently replaced Craig Ferguson as the host of The Late Late Show on CBS, and though he’s had some big shoes to fill, he’s definitely getting some attention with his quick wit, great guests, and hilarious sketches.

The British actor and comedian is well-known in his native country for television shows like Gavin & Stacey, though he’s just making a name for himself here in the States. You might recognize him from his most prominent American job as the actor who played the Baker in Into the Woods this past Christmas.

Just like when Helen Mirren inhaled helium with Jimmy Fallon, late night talk shows give celebrities the opportunity to fool around and show a lighter side of themselves. I love seeing celebrities cut loose and play around with these amazing comedians.

April Fool’s Day is especially a great opportunity for these shows to come up with hilarious segments. For example, Jimmy Kimmel’s show had pop singer Rihanna waking him up in the middle of the night with loud music and dancers.

James Corden, usually the funniest one in the room, ended up doubled over in laughter on his own April Fool’s Day episode when Katie Couric decided to prank the host in her own unique way.

At first, I gasped, but when I realized what was happening, I just had to laugh. Katie definitely got James good.

Please SHARE if you love hilarious pranks!
