The animal kingdom is truly a wacky and wonderful place, and we make more discoveries about it every single day.

Among the roughly 8.7 million animal species on this planet, there are thousands of animals that defy expectations at every turn with their amazing abilities, like this incredible dog that was able to detect his owner’s breast cancer.

In fact, some animal superpowers are downright magical, like this snow leopard that is able to use her camouflage to disappear completely into the background! Lots of animals have a variation on this ability, as an adaptive measure to make them both harder to hunt and better at catching their own prey unawared.

That said, not all camouflage is created equal. For every majestic creature melding seamlessly with the environment, there’s a goofy critter that just happens to look like something else entirely.

Enter the puli. Pulis are Hungarian herding dogs, renowned for their speed, intelligence, and bravery. They are fearless swimmers, partially thanks to their thick coat of densely corded hair.

Unfortunately for the noble reputation of the puli, and amusingly for the rest of us, that specially adapted coat also gives these dogs another, much funnier distinction. This ancient breed, which dates back at least 2,000 years, happens to look exactly like a mop. Don’t believe us? Check out the evidence for yourself in this hilarious demonstration below!

And if this adorable mop-dog cracked you up, please SHARE with everyone who will be surprised and delighted by this goofy video!
