It’s hard to believe that a 5-year-old could be this musically talented. However, child prodigy Akim Camara isn’t your typical little boy. Watch as this pint-sized virtuoso plays Felix Mendelssohn’s “Dance of the Fairies” alongside André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra. (The looks of awe and disbelief on the audience members’ faces perfectly sum up just how impressive this kid truly is.)
According to his Facebook page, Akim Camara was born in Berlin in 2000 and began playing the violin at only 2 and 1/2 years old. Having blown his music teachers away with his unbelievable ability to hear a piece only once or twice before having it completely memorized, he was soon introduced to the famed André Rieu and the rest is musical history.
We’re completely entranced watching such a small boy perform so masterfully and there’s simply no doubt that Akim’s legacy will live on forever. What did you think of this iconic performance with André Rieu? Had you heard of this child prodigy before?
