This puppy couldn’t be more excited to be reunited with the man who saved his life — and this video is further proof that pit bulls don’t have to grow up to be violent or aggressive.
Mojo was so thrilled to reunite with Joey Wagner, owner of Baie St. Marie Animal Shelter in Nova Scotia, Canada. Two years ago, Joey discovered the puppy was being prepared to become used as a bait dog. Like we saw with Duke, the pit bull’s face whose scarred due to life in dog fighting rings, bait dogs grow up knowing nothing but abuse and pain. Wagner rescued Mojo and brought him back to the animal shelter for some much needed TLC.
After several weeks of treatment, the medical staff wasn’t sure if the tiny puppy would even remember Joey… But the second he picks up the little guy, it’s endless kisses! “I haven’t seen his tail wag this much!” the nurses say. “Oh my goodness, he definitely remembers you!” It’s clear these two have gone through something that will bond them for life. Bravo to this amazing hero, and his adorable new canine companion!
