December 7, 2016 – Hudson, Florida, U.S. – DOUGLAS R. CLIFFORD | Times.Danielle Calder, 65, left, passes house keys off to her neighbor Angie Tyma, 89, moments after Tyma arrived at the home at 6435 Harbor Drive on Tuesday (12/6/16) in Hudson. Tyma was evicted from the home of over 30 years and had turned to Pasco County Human Services. Pasco County Human Services Manager Kim Price and Case Manager Mandi Cauley helped a very reluctant Ms. Tyma gather some belongings, and took her and her two small dogs to a nearby motel. Price arranged for the rest of Ms. Tyma’s belongings to be secured in the Pasco County Boys and Girls Club building until she could be relocated. While Price and Cauley worked to help Ms. Tyma with her next step – something amazing happened. Calder contacted the property investment company that had bought the home at auction and worked diligently with them to buy the home back! Calder closed on the property Friday, December 2nd and worked with Pasco County Human Services to quietly move all of Ms. Tyma’s belongings back into the home. This afternoon, Calder is surprising Ms. Tyma (on her birthday, no less) by bringing her back home – for good. (Credit Image: © Douglas R. 89-year-old Angie Tyma lived in her Hudson home for 35 years. Things took a different turn, and the old woman was evicted without prior warning.

Without a roof over her head, Angie was forced alternative shelter in a motel before figuring out the next move. Unknown to Angie, her neighbors were planning a surprise.

When Angie took over the house, she did not want to bother herself with payments that come with owning a home. Angie found a buyer for the house. Angie rented the house and paid a monthly lump sum to the buyer.

The owner stopped using Angie’s money to pay for the mortgage, and the bank was forced to throw her out. Angie was a darling of the people, and her neighbors appreciated the role she played in the neighborhood.

One of the neighbors had known of Angie’s eviction, and she devised a way to help the old woman. Angie would receive her surprise on her birthday, three weeks after the eviction.
