Rajan the Swimming elephant is known on the Andaman Islands as the last of his kind. More than 50 years old, Rajan was first trained as a “logging elephant” in the Timber industry of India, but after that cruel practice was banned, Rajan was able to enjoy life, and now spends most of his time with his caretaker, swimming once a day.
