Anyone who really knows me knows that I’m slightly obsessed and have some serious nostalgia for the days of what we now call “classic rock music.”

The ’60s and ’70s all the way through the 1980s was such an amazing, groundbreaking time for real musicians. This was long before everything on the radio became auto-tuned, sampled, and suffocated by bass. I’m so nostalgic for the days of incredible musicians like Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, The Doors, and Led Zeppelin.

That last band is one of my all-time favorites, so you can imagine how happy I was to come across this truly awesome video from “Louisville Leopard Percussionists” on YouTube. In this awesome video, the young and talented student musicians perform an impressive medley of “Kashmir,” “The Ocean,” and “Immigrant Song” by Led Zeppelin. Best of all, Led Zeppelin founder Jimmy Page even caught wind of the viral video and shared it on his own Facebook page.

It’s important to note that these songs are definitely not “easy” to perform. However, the kids do an amazingly impressive job of breathing new life into these classics. Doesn’t it make you so happy to see young people taking an interest in the past?!

I love this performance — and I bet your friends will, too! Please SHARE on Facebook to remind your friends of the good old days!
