Osceola the eagle was injured as a baby and had to have one of his wings amputated. He’d never be able to fly again. But a hero named John Stokes entered Osceola’s life, and changed it forever.

John, an avid hang glider, was determined to see Osceola soar again. So, he built a special harness for the eagle that would allow the majestic bird to accompany John on his airborne adventures. Watching these two fly through the air together brought a tear to my eyes; there’s something so touching about what John did for Osceola. If eagles are able to appreciate things – and I’m convinced all animals can – I bet Osceola has made a friend for life!
