We’re in Manuela’s kitchen for the next few minutes as we learn to make these easy apple pastries. They’re so simple — I’ll be teaching my oldest how to make them when I get home. My husband is at home trying out the recipe now! We’ll see how that goes…
Really though, these sweet, crispy treats are just too simple not to try. The recipe calls for a couple of Red Delicious apples, which is great because they’re probably the easiest ones to find throughout the year. I’ll be making mine with Granny Smiths though, as I prefer my apples (fresh or baked) to be a little bit more tart and crunchy. I think it might be interesting to add a bit of cinnamon to the thawed puff pastry, too.
