Witnessing the birth of your child is one of the most beautiful moments of your life, and that motherly love translates across species lines. Mother humans are just as affectionate and eager to see their children as mother dogs, or mother horses; but maybe not mother hamsters who are known to eat their young on occasion.
This little horse almost didn’t make it into the world, and mama Fancy was having trouble as well. She was rescued from an auction and put into protective care, but in bad condition and pregnant. But thanks to a last-minute miracle and some incredibly kind people, the two were saved and they are living happily ever after.
