This fur baby has to be one of the sweetest we’ve seen on the site.
Meet Anakin, the amazing two-legged cat whose condition has garnered him internet fame and even his own website. Anakin is missing his two hind legs, so he walks by supporting his weight on his front two. In the video below from when he was just months old, “Ani,” as he’s referred to by his family, plays with a small bell ball with the enthusiasm of any other kitten.
“Ani is a two legged cat, born without a pelvis or back legs but that doesn’t stop him,” writes his owner Carrie. “My family and I rescued Anakin and I am caring for him. My family and I are lifelong animal lovers and will give Ani the absolute best possible home, love and care.”
It’s worth commending the great pet parents who care for special needs animals, and Anakin isn’t the only one of his kind. Not too long ago we posted an amazing video of another bipedal cat named Caffrey, a Persian kitty who’s had one front and back leg removed after accidents and has managed, despite all odds, to stay mobile in spite of it. But these kitties would be nowhere if not for their incredible pet owners who ensure they receive proper care and attention.
