After years of experiencing life as a homeless man, Sandy is used to the way he’s often treated. But in an attempt to show the rest of the world the way we treat people based on the clothes they can afford, he helped conduct an experiment on the streets he calls home.
First he dressed in a suit his co-conspirator bought for him, and while talking on the phone asked people for change. After that, he put back on his normal clothes, stood on the same street, and asked again. I expected there to be a difference in how he was treated, but the difference absolutely floored me.
What happens during his interaction with the man at 2:15 almost made me cry. I will definitely pay more attention to the way I treat everyone after seeing this, and hope you will, too!
