Idon’t know you, but many times while camping, I’ve had the craving of a freshly baked treat. How to make it without an oven, though? This is why this neat hack by North Survival is so useful. It shows how to bake a cake without an oven. The only thing you need is an orange! This is a great recipe for a dessert when you’re in the outdoors or to make at home in the barbecue. It’s also a great recipe to make with your kids, if you supervise the use of the knife and the fire.
To make this delicious treat, you just have to cut the orange in half and, carefully with a knife, dig a hole to get the pulp. Save the pulp just for a healthy snack or to use in another recipe! Once you have the orange empty, pour the chocolate batter. If you’re camping, you can bring it from home as he did or do it right there, for more fun!
The recipe for the chocolate batter is as follows:
3.4 oz sugar
1.6 oz flour
1 oz cocoa
1 egg
1 oz olive oil or butter
Mix it together and pour it in one of the orange halves. Put the other half on top and secure it with tooth pics and, finally, place the whole orange in the coals. After about 10-15 minutes, you’ll have a delicious cake that you can enjoy instantly, just opening the orange!
