If you were a kid in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s…congratulations on making it out alive! In this very entertaining video, we get to see how very different the world is today opposed to what we grew up with – and still somehow, we are all here to tell our tale.
Do you remember the days when there weren’t so many regulations? Cribs were covered in lead-paint, there weren’t child locks on cabinets or medicine bottles, and no one ever wore a bike helmet. Kids drank water from the garden hose, drank soda full of sugar, and even ate bread. Yet, even so – everyone seemed to turn out just fine!
It’s true, back in our days things were much different. There wasn’t as much child obesity because kids were outside playing. We didn’t have cell-phones, but still managed to come home safely when the street lights came on. Children got in fights, broke bones, and even failed tests – and our parents weren’t there to bail us out. We actually were held accountable for our actions! Through freedom, failure, and success we learned how to deal with it. Yes, growing up decades ago was much different than today… If this is you, congratulations – YOU MADE IT!
