If you’ve ever wondered where the first half of the word “bulldog” came from, Manfred is here to teach you a lesson. This wrinkly pup’s owner lives on a farm that’s home to a lovely group of bulls, and when he decided to pay them a visit, I never expected their reaction. I was holding my breath when he went up to them, but now, I can’t keep the smile off my face!
Bulldogs have some of the funniest personalities of all the dog breeds. If you don’t believe me, just look at what happens when this one tries to play fetch! But what I really love about Manfred’s reaction to the bulls is that even though they’re so much bigger than him, his desire to make new friends overcomes his fear of how huge they are. And best of all, they love him, too! I love how their first thought upon meeting this squishy-faced pup is to give him kisses.
Just like this deer that befriended a pair of dogs and a human family, Manfred and his bovine buddies are proof that animals don’t have to be the same species to be best friends. If only everyone could learn that love comes in all shapes and sizes. I think the world would be a better place if we all had the outlook that these bulls and bulldog do, don’t you?
