7 week-old Lachlan was born without the gift of hearing, having been diagnosed very early on with severe sensorineural hearing impairment in both ears.
This is the moment that he was able to hear for the very first time thanks to his first hearing aid. His reaction when the doctor turned on the aid was truly amazing. He went from shock, to being quite confused over this new experience to having the most precious little smile on his face.

Lachlan’s parents say their beautiful little boy is two years old now and doing remarkably well. Soon after Lachlan received his hearing aids, he started speech therapy with the assistance of an early intervention service offered by Tarayle, which is an oral language center for deaf children.
