Mosquitoes are some of the most dangerous and annoying creatures in the world. They are so small that it can be hard to spot them sometimes, which allows them to sneak up on you and feed off your blood.
People say vampires don’t exist, but in reality they do; they are just small and fly around.
While mosquitoes are known for causing itching and annoying bites, they can also carry various diseases that can infect you and even kill if appropriate measures are not taken when necessary.
Many people do not like putting on bug spray, and wish there was alternative to keep mosquitoes out of your living space once and for all. Luckily, there are more and more methods that are coming out that help keep mosquito populations on the low, and most of the tricks are simple DIY solutions that anybody can do!
While some solutions work better than others, this solution is known for how cheap and easy it is. You will be able to make a mosquito trap for just one dollar with these easy steps.
To make the trap, you are going to need a knife, a cup of water, a quarter cup of brown sugar, a plastic bottle from a 2 liter soda, and a quarter teaspoon of yeast.
All you need to do is cut off the top of the two liter bottle about a third of the way down, and then begin making your mixture.
Pour the sugar into the bottom two thirds of the bottle then pour in your cup of water. It is best to use hot water here so that it can dissolve all the sugar. Throw in the yeast, and then your mixture is done.
Take the top third of the bottle that you just cut off, and then place it upside down into the body of the bottom of the bottle.
Now, mosquitoes will be attracted to the irresistible mixture that you just prepared, will fly in to feed off it, and will not be able to get out because of the bad opening at the top.
If you want a more effective way to catch them, another DIY trick as been shared where you take a powerful circular fan, and attack a screen to the back of it. Then, if you leave the fan on overnight, mosquitoes will be trapped in the torrent of air that the fan creates and will be pinned against the screen in the back.
Then the next morning, you can spray them down with rubbing alcohol to kill them off.
Staying safe and protected from mosquitoes is crucially important and can not only save you from itching and irritating your skin, but also from you having to go to the doctor’s office for a nasty infection or disease.
