Four fifth-grade girls in Arizona allegedly orchestrated a disturbing plan to end the life of a male classmate and stage it as a suicide — with one of the girls reportedly seen smiling and laughing while giving evasive responses to investigators, according to police.
A newly released report from the Surprise Police Department outlines the alarming details surrounding the arrests of the girls, ages 10 and 11, who had reportedly planned to fatally stab the boy during recess at Legacy Traditional School in October.
According to AZ Family, the suspects allegedly agreed to “just end him” on the school grounds, motivated by accusations of cheating following a recent breakup.

Five girls at Legacy Traditional School in West Surprise, Arizona, allegedly planned to stab a male classmate in connection with a breakup, according to police.
According to the police report, each girl was allegedly assigned a specific role in the plan to lure the boy to an outdoor bathroom and stab him in the abdomen.
One girl was reportedly responsible for bringing a knife, while another was tasked with writing a fake suicide note to make it appear the boy had taken his own life.
Another girl was assigned to act as a lookout, while the fourth was designated to carry out the stabbing. The intended attacker was also instructed to wear gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints on the weapon.
The girls scheduled the plan for October 1, 2024, but several students overheard details of the plot and reported it to school officials before it could be carried out.

The girls allegedly planned to lure the boy to an outdoor bathroom during recess and stab him in the abdomen.
All four students were subsequently arrested by Surprise Police and charged with threatening and misdemeanor disorderly conduct.
While three of the girls expressed remorse when questioned by police and school officials, authorities noted that the fourth girl responded by smiling and laughing as she offered excuses regarding the plot.
Surprise Police stated that the girls were released to their parents following their arrest and were suspended from school, with expulsion pending.
The department also announced it does not intend to release further details about the incident. School officials did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment.
The disturbing plot has drawn comparisons to the 2014 “Slender Man” stabbing in Wisconsin, where 12-year-old girls Morgan Geyser and Anissa Weier lured their friend Payton Leutner to a park after a sleepover.
In that brutal attack, intended to impress the fictional horror character Slender Man, Geyser stabbed Leutner 19 times while Weier encouraged the assault.
