“Grey’s Anatomy” extra Laura Ann Tull has accused Eric Dane of being an “evil … bully” following his recent tragic death, sparking backlash from fans.
Tull launched a fierce tirade on Threads last week, labeling the actor a “coward,” “jerk,” and “narcissist,” and claiming he allegedly “abused” her on set. She also asserted that she played a role in his exit from the hit medical drama in 2012.
“I am why he was fired from ‘Grey’s,’” she wrote in the post (via Complex), though she offered no evidence. “I called [Shonda] Rhimes’ assistant two weeks before they announced his termination. Rhimes I doubt will ever admit that.”
She called the actor, best known for playing Dr. Mark Sloan on Grey’s Anatomy, a “bully” and a “jerk” last week.
Fans quickly reacted on social media, condemning Tull for “talking bad about [someone] who is now gone from this world.”
One user questioned the purpose of her post, writing, “Attacking someone after they die of a horrific disease and they cannot defend themselves just smacks of indecency towards his family. Even if every word you say is true, now is not the time. I hope his daughters never see the vitriol you are spewing.”
Another accused Tull of being an “attention seeker” hoping for her “two minutes of fame.”
Many of Eric Dane’s fans criticized Laura Ann Tull (pictured Jan. 29) for “attacking someone after they die of a horrific disease.”
Some even questioned whether Tull had ever been an extra on Grey’s Anatomy, noting her name does not appear on her IMDb page. One devoted fan wrote, “I have watched Grey’s Anatomy from start to finish so many times… I’ve never seen you in my life. Ever.”
Tull defended herself, insisting that Dane’s death “doesn’t change [the] destruction he caused.” She also noted that she had publicly criticized Dane years before his battle with ALS, publishing a Medium essay in June 2018.
The Euphoria star (pictured October 2025) was diagnosed with ALS the year prior.
At the time, Tull claimed that Dane referred to her as “weird,” citing an email she received from “[Arne] Starr, an elected representative of SAG-AFTRA.”
The former lawyer added, “I never talked to Dane… I never spoke to Dane once directly. But I did hear him talk about me.”
She also brought Patrick Dempsey into the controversy, alleging the 60-year-old “also seemed to comment about” her.
In 2018, Tull also criticized Patrick Dempsey (pictured 2009).
Representatives for Dane and Dempsey did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The Euphoria star was diagnosed with ALS in April 2025 and passed away last week, with Dane’s family confirming the news in a statement.
“With heavy hearts, we share that Eric Dane passed on Thursday afternoon following a courageous battle,” his family wrote. “Eric adored his fans and is forever grateful for the outpouring of love and support he’s received.”
