It’s probably not a good idea to try and upstage the bride on her wedding day, but in this case it was definitely the right move!
Normally when you think of a memorable dance it’s between bride and groom, father and daughter or evenmother and son, like in this unforgettable viral video. However, there’s an awesome new trend happening in the surprise wedding dance world (yes, it’s a real thing now) and it’s finally all about the boys!
This video of a groom and his team of tuxedo-wearing best buddies recently went viral, and for good reason. They truly hit on every single genre you can imagine…plus, every wedding needs a little Beyoncé! In the next video, however, a groom named Lanny Smith decided to take it back to a hit from his new father-in-law’s generation to really show his love for his new wife.
I have to admit, I wasn’t sure where this video was going, as it starts out with Lanny grabbing the microphone and telling his father-in-law “You’ve always been very protective of Miss Kirbi Thomas over here,” before correcting himself that she’s Kirbi SMITH now. Lanny then says “she’ll always be your daughter, but she’s my girl now!” That’s when he grabs his groomsmen and cues the music for the very best surprise.
The guys are so flawless dancing to “My Girl” by the Temptations that I think even Dad would agree his daughter made the right choice. He must love her so much!
