Harrison Craig has been the victim of bullying at school for his entire life, all because he stutters when he speaks. Despite his peers’ unmerciful teasing, he tried not to let their words get the best of him and continued to pursue his passion for singing. It’s safe to say there’s at least one time he has his stutter under control: when he’s singing.
When he heard The Voice: Australia was having auditions, Craig decided to try out — and we’re sure glad he did! Here, Harrison is joined by Tim Moxey, another eager competitor. The two singers deliver a show-stopping performance of Josh Groban’s “You Raise Me Up” while duking it out for the #1 spot in the competition. In the end, Harrison won — but Tim put up an incredible fight, and you can see how badly he wanted to win.
During the stunning performance, it gets to the point where Seal, who mentored Harrison throughout the series, can only look down and shake his head in disbelief. By the end, all of the judges give the two guys a standing ovation.
