Maya Hawke and Christian Lee Hutson Tie the Knot in Star-Studded NYC Wedding
Congrats are in order for Maya Hawke and Christian Lee Hutson! The couple exchanged vows on Valentine’s Day at St. George’s Episcopal Church in New York City, celebrating with a guest list full of stars.
Maya’s father, Ethan Hawke, 55, looked dapper in a classic black suit as he accompanied his daughter, holding a bouquet of white flowers. He later had the honor of walking Maya down the aisle.
The ceremony was held at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Manhattan, bringing together family and friends for the special occasion.
Maya’s mother, Uma Thurman, 55, was spotted in a light blue floral ensemble, adding elegance to the event.
The “Stranger Things” cast also showed strong support for the actress, with Finn Wolfhard, Joe Keery, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Sadie Sink, and Natalia Dyer in attendance. Other stars joining the celebration included Sam Nivola and Kathryn Newton.
Maya Hawke was walked down the aisle by her father, Ethan Hawke, during the wedding ceremony.
Maya is the eldest child of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests headed to The Players Members Club for a lively reception, where celebrations continued for hours.
The “Little Women” star, 27, has been romantically linked to Christian Lee Hutson since 2023, when the couple was spotted sharing a kiss in New York City. Hutson, 35, is a singer-songwriter who has released three albums co-produced by Phoebe Bridgers.
Many of Maya Hawke’s “Stranger Things” co-stars were also in attendance at the wedding.
Gaten Matarazzo watched as the couple exchanged their vows.
Maya and Christian frequently collaborate on music. They worked together on Maya’s second studio album, “Moss,” as well as her most recent 2024 release, “Chaos Angel.” Maya also lent her vocals to Hutson’s latest album, “Paradise Pop. 10,” and joined him on select shows during his 2025 tour.
“[Hutson] has been so encouraging to me as a musician, helping me to make the transition from being a poet in a band to sort of being a musician,” Maya told Variety in June 2024.
The couple officially confirmed their relationship at the opening night of the Broadway show “John Proctor is the Villain” in April 2025
Sam Nivola and Kathryn Newton were also in attendance at the star-studded wedding.
Before their romance began, Maya Hawke and Christian Lee Hutson were friends for four years. The Netflix star previously praised dating a friend, telling the Zach Sang Show in June 2024 that it was “the best.”
“They know you, they understand that you are a person and a human being who has dated other people … not just a piece of paper for them to project their image of a perfect girlfriend onto,” she added.

Ethan Hawke, known for “The Black Phone,” has two other children, Clementine, 17, and Indiana, 14, with his wife Ryan Shawhughes Hawke, while Uma Thurman, famous for “Kill Bill,” shares a daughter, Luna, 13, with her ex-fiancé Arpad Busson.
