After Kathryn and Caleb put their two-year-old daughter down for the night, they quietly closed the door and turned on the baby monitor like usual. But an hour later, the couple heard mumbles and sounds coming from little Sutton’s monitor.
Kathryn, a pre-school teacher from South Carolina, was shocked when she walked over to the baby monitor to take a closer listen. For two whole minutes, Sutton laid in her crib and prayed to God — then listed everyone for whom she’s praying, including her mom, dad, grandmother, friends from school and, of course, Santa Claus himself. Sutton then finishes the prayer with an “Amen.”
Kathryn and Caleb just so happened to skip their bedtime prayer ritual with Sutton, so it looks like she took it upon herself to make sure they got done for the night! Kathryn swears the entire prayer was completely unrehearsed and unprompted.
After posting the video on Facebook, it quickly went viral — and strangers all over the world are continuing to reach out to the family with praise and gratitude for sharing such a heartwarming moment.
