Nicole Kidman to Attend 2026 Met Gala with Daughter Sunday Following Keith Urban Divorce
It’s a family affair for Nicole Kidman at this year’s Met Gala. The actress revealed she will be joined by her oldest daughter, Sunday, for the 2026 event on May 4.
“This is—I think it’s the third time I’ve co-chaired—but to do it now?” Kidman, star of Moulin Rouge, shared on the March 11 episode of the Las Culturistas podcast. “I’m so, so happy, and my daughter Sunday will be coming.”

Nicole Kidman is one of the co-chairs for this year’s Met Gala, a role she previously held in 2003 and 2005.
The Big Little Lies star, who is also mom to Bella, 33, and Connor, 31, with ex-husband Tom Cruise, shared that her daughter Sunday “loves fashion.”
“She’s actually just walked the Dior show. Yeah, she’s flying back from Paris now,” Kidman added.
However, the Perfect Couple alum is quick to note that Sunday’s budding career is entirely her own. “It’s her own, whole world and it’s incredible,” Kidman said.

Kidman, who previously co-chaired the Met Gala alongside Anna Wintour in 2003 and 2005, said she’s especially excited to see one fellow co-chair this year. “Well, I just get to be there for Beyoncé,” she gushed.
Joining Kidman and Beyoncé as co-chairs for the 2026 Met Gala is tennis star Venus Williams.
Sunday, 17, is already making waves in the modeling world. She made her runway debut at Miu Miu’s Spring/Summer 2025 Paris Fashion Week show in October 2024.

The model Sunday Kidman (pictured with her mom in 2025) admitted she often raids Nicole Kidman’s wardrobe, calling it her “favorite store.”
Following her runway debut, Sunday starred in a campaign for the same brand the next January, modeling a trench coat and skirt.
She then landed her first fashion magazine cover, appearing on the August 2025 issue of Nylon in a brown leather Prada skirt suit.
Reflecting on her style inspiration, Sunday told the outlet, “I take everything from my mom’s closet. I sometimes joke with her that it’s my favorite store.”

Despite carving out her own path in modeling, Sunday Kidman credits her mother as a major source of inspiration.
“I definitely gained a lot of interest from those experiences and especially being privileged enough to experience them at a young age,” Sunday told Elle Australia earlier this month. “My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life. She’s a key part of everything I do.”
On the best piece of industry advice from her mom, Sunday added, “Always be on time.”

Sunday Kidman shared some advice from her mother: “There’s always going to be something with an early call time that you don’t want to get up for, but it’s really important to be on time because it shows that you’re prepared and grateful to be there.”
Her remarks come shortly after Kidman finalized her divorce from Urban in January, ending their 19-year marriage. Under the custody agreement, Sunday and Faith will spend 306 days a year with the Oscar-winning actress and see their father, 58, every other weekend.
