Whether you’ve seen the movie or not, you’ve probably heard a few of the hit songs from the 2017 film The Greatest Showman. Now, Pink’s presenting us with an extra-special cover of “A Million Dreams” featuring her daughter, Willow.
In a video uploaded to YouTube, viewers get a behind-the-scenes look at Pink and Willow’s performance, and the makings of the song inside the studio. In the clip, Willow begins by singing the lyrics: “Every night I lie in bed / The brightest colors fill my head / A million dreams are keeping me awake / I think of what the world could be / A vision of the one I see / A million dreams is all it’s gonna take / A million dreams for the world we’re gonna make.” Afterward, Pink gives her two thumbs up.
“I grew up listening to Annie,” Pink tells the film’s director Michael Gracey in one part of the video. “And no one has done this for me. And no one has done this for me, for my heart, since I was a little girl. And to have [Willow] finally have something like this — you made our favorite movie ever.”
After that, the video showcases Pink’s vocals on the song, which, of course, are powerful and beautiful.
The song is part of an upcoming project called The Greatest Showman: Reimagined, a companion album for the movie, PopSugar explains. The album features other famous voices covering the rest of the film’s soundtrack. Sara Bareilles, for example, performs “Tightrope”; Zac Brown Band can be heard singing “From Now On”; Kelly Clarkson takes on “Never Enough”: and Keala Settle, Kesha, and Missy Elliott sing “This Is Me.”
