Wen Tampa beach-goers discovered a dog on the verge of drowning, they leapt into action to revive the animal in danger. Apparently the parched canine drank too much saltwater and was spotted struggling to stay afloat in the ocean. Fox News Insider reports that local residents therefore jumped in, pulled the dog out, and administered CPR, eventually flagging down the local fire department who successfully revived the dog.

Fox News Insider followed up with the lucky pup’s owners, who stated that Xena is perfectly fine following the frightening incident and who thank local residents and rescue crew members who went above and beyond to save their pet. Thank goodness for a happy ending. We hope this video reminds folks to give their dogs plenty of fresh water during beach days in order to avoid situations like this one!
