Savannah Guthrie made her first visit back to Studio 1A on Thursday since her mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing.

Savannah Guthrie Returns to ‘Today’ Show Set on Thursday Amid Family Ordeal
Savannah Guthrie appeared visibly emotional during her visit to the “Today” show set on Thursday.
A spokesperson confirmed that she will not be appearing on air for now.
TMZ obtained photos of the 54-year-old co-anchor visiting the NBC studio in New York City for the first time in over a month, where she spoke with colleagues and showed strong emotions.
Savannah Guthrie (pictured above in March 2025) “remains focused on supporting her family and doing everything she can to help bring Nancy home,” a source said.
During their reunion on air, Jenna Bush Hager became emotional, telling viewers, “She said that she intends to return to the show. Even though it feels like the hardest thing to do, it’s also her home and where she feels so loved.”
Sheinelle Jones added, “Whenever [she is] ready, we are here for her.”
Savannah has not appeared on the “Today” show since her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, vanished from her Tucson, Arizona, home on January 31
The matriarch, Nancy Guthrie, has not been seen since January 31.
Page Six reported in February that Savannah Guthrie would be away from the “Today” show “for the foreseeable future.”
An NBC source told reporters last month that “the entire show and network are rallying together in support of our beloved colleague and friend” during the “unimaginable” crisis.
“Everyone at ‘Today’ is taking this day by day, and of course giving Savannah the grace, time, and support she needs,” another insider said.
Despite Hoda Kotb leaving NBC in January 2025, she returned to the show to fill in during her former co-anchor’s absence.
Hoda Kotb (pictured above in May 2018) has been filling in for Savannah Guthrie, one year after leaving the morning show.
Sources say the 61-year-old will continue in Savannah’s seat for an extended period as the search for Nancy Guthrie continues.
In her latest Instagram plea to her mother’s abductor, Savannah acknowledged that Nancy “could already be gone.” She added, “If this is what is to be, then we will accept it, but we need to know where she is. We need her to come home.”
