When the zookeeper walks in, Raduga (Rainbow) the baby giraffe couldn’t be more excited.
The wild animal enjoys being pet and getting her neck scratched by her favorite keeper at the Royev Ruchei Zoo in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.
At the :10 mark, the woman goes in and asks for a kiss — and the giraffe happily obliges. How sweet is that?!
It’s so amazing to see wild animals act more like domesticated dogs and cats, showing some love to their favorite humans — like this tiger who loves swimming with in the pool with a brave assistant or these baby pandas who curl up on their zookeeper’s lap.
It’s beautiful to see the trust and special bond between the woman and this cute baby giraffe. This baby would melt even the stoniest of hearts! Seriously, how can so much cute fit into this little cutie-pie!
Giraffe numbers are dwindling across Africa because of poaching and habitat loss caused by human population growth, according to wildlife experts. The work done at this zoo (and other places around the world) helps to protect the species and encourage their continued population.
