There’s some truth to the old proverb “only drunks and children tell the truth”.

Kids have a unique way of looking at the world. They often see things in a completely different perspective than us adults – no matter if it’s about love, how babies are born or what a retiree is.

Their innocent explanations often lead to hilarious moments. That’s why I’ve posted this 4-year-old’s account of the Mommy Test. It’s bound to brighten your day!

Read the mother’s story below and feel free to share this if you want to make a friend laugh today!

Yesterday, I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter.

She picked up something off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I told her not to do that.

“Why?” my daughter asked.

“Because it’s been on the ground, you don’t know where it’s been. It’s dirty, and probably has germs,” I replied.

“You’re so smart”

At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admiration and asked, “Mommy, how do you know all this stuff, you’re so smart.”

At first, I didn’t know what to say. After a moment’s thought, I replied:
“All moms know this stuff. It’s on the Mommy Test. You have to know it, or they don’t let you be a Mommy.”

We walked along in silence for a couple of minutes. My daughter was evidently pondering this new information.

After a while, she exclaimed, “OH… I get it! So if you don’t pass the test you have to be the daddy!”

I wore a big wide grin for the rest of the walk.

Kids are amazing, SHARE if you agree!
