I just can’t get enough of tricky challenges and brain teasers. My dear grandma was the one who got me into them when I was a child, and I don’t think I’ll stop anytime soon. Not only are they perfect for winding down and relaxing, they’re also great for your brain.
Every time my grandkids come to visit, I try to make them take an interest in these kinds of fun games and challenges. It can be anything from math puzzles to cool optical illusions. These days, kids are often glued to their phones and iPads, so anything that gets them off the screen and makes them use their head is great in my book!
Technology does most of our work for us these days, so you’ve got to exercise your brain to stay sharp. And that’s why more people need to do these kinds of puzzles and tricky challenges. Not only are they good for you, they’re great fun too!
I found this picture riddle online earlier today on didyouknowpage.com, and I had to think long and hard before I could figure out the solution. Apparently only 1 in 5 get this one right on the spot, so it’s not that easy!
What’s wrong with the picture?
The picture depicts London, the capital of England. You can see a big clock tower (Big Ben), a bus, a few cars and an iconic red telephone box. But something is very wrong – and your task is to find out what that is.
Can you spot what’s wrong with this picture?
Don’t make things too easy, now. If you don’t know the answer, ponder on it a while longer – don’t scroll down. You can do it!
A hint: it is quite relevant that the picture depicts England of all places. There are certain laws and rules there that differ from some other places in the world.
Did that make it easier?
Here’s the answer!
The answer is that they’re driving on the wrong side of the road. You drive on the left in the United Kingdom. So all the drivers in the picture should really lose their licenses, if it weren’t for the fact that fictional characters are notoriously hard to apprehend.
Bonus picture riddle
You know what – let’s do another one!
In this picture, 2 camels are crossing the desert. But something is very wrong. What is it?
Don’t rush it, take your time and think carefully.
Did you manage to spot it?
If not, see below for the answer!
Since the sun is in the background, the camels should be casting shadows in our direction. But there are none, which makes no sense!
