Brooke Hogan is steering clear of any potential conflicts involving Hulk Hogan’s substantial estate.
In 2023, she voluntarily removed herself from her father’s will to prevent a financial dispute after his passing, reportedly due to a lack of trust in those surrounding him, according to TMZ.
At the time, Brooke’s main concern was protecting her father from people she believed were trying to exploit him. Despite their differing views on the matter, she ultimately contacted Hulk Hogan’s financial manager to have her name withdrawn from the will.
Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, passed away last week at the age of 71 due to cardiac arrest in Clearwater, Florida.
Brooke, 37, will still receive funds from a life insurance policy on which she was a beneficiary, money she plans to use for her children’s college education.
The eldest of Hogan’s two children shared her first public reflections on her father’s passing and their estrangement in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“My dad’s blood flows through my veins. His eyes shine brightly in my children. Our bond has never been broken, not even in his final moments,” Brooke wrote.
“We never had a ‘big fight.’ My father and I never ‘fought.’ Instead, it was a series of private phone calls—conversations no one will ever hear, know, or fully understand. During those talks, my father confided in me about the burdens weighing on his heart, both personal and professional. I offered to be a lifeline in whatever way he needed. I assured him he had my full support.”
Brooke later shared that she and her husband, Steven Olesky, relocated to Florida to be closer to her father as he aged. She stood by him through nearly 25 surgeries before he suddenly stopped wanting her present during his procedures.
Brooke did not attend Hogan’s September 2023 wedding to his third wife, Sky Daily, and their final conversation took place just two weeks before the ceremony, TMZ reported.
“You were my everything, and I will always be your girl. I am so PROUD to be your daughter—for all the love, light, and goodness you brought into this world. Thank you for choosing me in this lifetime and for loving me so deeply,” she wrote in part.
In another post, Brooke shared a video montage featuring photos of herself and Hogan, accompanied by Stevie Nicks’ song “Crystal.”
In the caption, she wrote, “You were my everything, and I will forever be your girl. I am so proud to be your daughter—for all the love, light, and kindness you brought into this world. Thank you for choosing me in this lifetime and for loving me so deeply.”
