With just five ingredients total, you’re instantly going to fall in love with this strawberry cream dump cake shared by Brooke from Cheeky Kitchen on Tablespoon!
The cake itself literally only calls for three ingredients, and all you have to do is dump it in a pan!
She started by filling her baking dish with all of the frozen strawberries.
On top of that, Brooke poured half of her melted butter, making sure to evenly coat all of the berries.
Then the third and final ingredient went on top: white cake mix. These boxed mixes are so versatile, and you can play around with flavor combinations if you want to try something other than the basis white.
Brooke poured the second half of her melted butter over the mix, again making sure to try and cover everything evenly.
With everything added, the pan went into the oven.
“Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the cake mix is golden on top and the strawberry mixture is bubbly,” Brooke wrote on her Tablespoon post of the recipe.
While the cake was baking, Brooke used her last two ingredients to make the cobbler topping.
All she need to make it was cool whip and strawberry yogurt.
She beat the two ingredients together in a bowl until they were light and fluffy.
When the cake came out of the oven, she topped it with the strawberry cream and some extra strawberries for presentation.
It would also be delicious served warm with a scoop of ice cream!
This is such an easy dessert to make and would be fun to experiment with other types of frozen fruits and cake mixes.
“You’re going to need a spoon and fork, also,” Brooke wrote. “Probably both. One to shovel and the other to scoop once you realize how irresistible this cake is.”
