Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) made a startling revelation, exposing millions in unemployment benefits being funneled to “fake people” who don’t even exist yet — some not even born this century.
DOGE conducted a preliminary review of unemployment claims dating back to 2020, uncovering that 9,700 individuals, with birthdates set 15 years in the future, had received $69 million in benefits.
In one particularly bizarre case, a person born in the year 2154 was found to have claimed $41,000, according to a post by the department on X.
Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has uncovered hundreds of millions of dollars in fraudulent unemployment claims.
“Your tax dollars were funding bogus unemployment claims for people who haven’t even been born yet!” Musk stated in a post on X.
DOGE uncovered that another 24,500 individuals, all over the unrealistic age of 115, had claimed $59 million in benefits, while around 28,000 people aged between 1 and 5 years old received $254 million in claims.
“Your tax dollars were funding fraudulent unemployment claims for people born in the future!” Musk fumed on X.
“This is so outrageous, I had to read it several times before it even registered,” he added.
Musk, the world’s wealthiest individual, was appointed by President Trump to lead the newly established DOGE, aimed at reducing wasteful spending and exposing fraud within the federal government.
“The oldest living American is 114 years old, so it’s safe to say that anyone aged 115 or older is claiming ‘unemployment’ because they’re dead,” he remarked in another post about DOGE’s shocking discovery.
“There was no verification process for individuals who were either unrealistically young or impossibly old to receive unemployment benefits.”
