All it takes is a can of cranberry sauces, a couple other ingredients, and some frozen meatballs to impress all of your hungry guests this Thanksgiving.
With your feast being such a long, large meal to prepare, no one wants to spend a ton of time making appetizers, too.
That’s why this slow cooker recipe will save the day! It will keep your guests satisfied before dinner starts and will take you no time at all to make!
Lauren from Tastes Better From Scratch shared the recipe for these easy slow cooker cranberry BBQ meatballs, and they taste just as good as they sound!
“If there’s one thing I’ve noticed, the little bite size appetizers, like these cranberry BBQ meatballs, always get devoured the fastest,” Lauren wrote on her blog post about the recipe. “It doesn’t matter how old you are, or how picky you are, everyone loves a yummy little meatball appetizer.”
To make it, Lauren used frozen meatballs, a can of whole cranberry sauce, a jar of cocktail sauce, brown sugar, BBQ sauce, and water.
Before tossing everything in the slow cooker, Lauren poured every ingredient except for the frozen meatballs into a bowl.
Then, she stirred them all together to make the cranberry barbecue sauce.
Next, Lauren took her package of frozen meatballs and dumped the whole thing in the bottom of the slow cooker.
“The best part about this recipe is you can make it as simple as you want,” Lauren wrote on her post. “You can use store bought, frozen meatballs (…) or you can make your own meatballs from scratch.”
Over the top of the meatballs, Lauren then poured her mixed together sauce, making sure to spread it evenly.
After giving everything a quick stir to make sure every meatball was coated with the sauce, Lauren put the lid on her slow cooker and left it to cook for a few hours.
The result is the easiest Thanksgiving appetizer ever that will be gone in minutes!
